PrintYEG runs rapid prototyping out of Edmonton — upload a CAD file, get a quote in ten seconds, get a printed part in 2–3 business days. No MOQ, no sales call, no 4-week offshore timeline. STL, 3MF, OBJ accepted (email us for STEP / SLDPRT conversion). Build volume 256 × 256 × 256 mm; 9 materials including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, and engineering filaments PLA-CF, PA-CF, PC. Flat $20 CAD shipping Canada-wide. Live viewing on every print so you can watch the iteration come together.
Why FDM printing for prototypes
Most prototypes print overnight and ship the next business day. Rush (<48h) available for iterating before a demo.
Order rev A today, rev B a week later. We remember your last print settings so subsequent runs skip re-configuration.
Files stored privately, used only to fulfill the order, deleted after 30 days. NDAs on request.
Carbon-fiber (PLA-CF, PA-CF), polycarbonate (PC), ABS, ASA. For prototypes that need to survive real-world testing.
Typical uses
Get the silhouette and volume right before committing to injection tooling. PLA at low detail is plenty.
Does it mount? Does it clear? Does it press-fit right? Print the mating pair together in the same job.
PLA-CF and PA-CF give real mechanical properties for load, drop, or cycle testing before the mold bill.
Something tangible to hand investors, partners, or your first design-partner customer. Multi-color AMS prints skip paint.
Make 5 units for your first 5 design partners. No MOQ, no tooling cost, per-unit pricing you can see before paying.
Got a broken knob, cover, or bracket on discontinued hardware? Model it, we print it.
FAQ
2–3 business days for most single-part prototypes. Rush service under 48 hours is a 50% surcharge. If you're iterating on the same base CAD, subsequent revisions usually hit the next day since we know the settings.
Yes. Carbon-fiber filled PLA (PLA-CF) and nylon (PA-CF) give you rigidity and heat tolerance close to low-grade injection molding. Polycarbonate (PC) for transparent parts or high-temperature mock-ups. Quote shows per-material pricing side-by-side.
Yes. Uploaded files are stored privately in Vercel Blob storage, accessible only to our admin account, used only to fulfill your order, and deleted after 30 days (you can ask us to purge immediately). NDAs on request. Read our privacy policy for the full disclosure.
STL, 3MF, and OBJ directly through the web upload. STEP, F3D (Fusion 360), SLDPRT (SolidWorks), or IPT files — email us and we'll convert and quote. No extra charge for conversion.
Yes, our 256 × 256 mm bed lets us nest several small parts in one job. Bulk pricing automatically reflects lower per-unit machine time. Great for small-batch functional testing or pilot production.
±0.2 mm on XY features, ±0.3 mm on Z. Hole diameters usually print ~0.2 mm undersize (FDM artifact) — design holes that large if they need to press-fit. For fit-critical assemblies, order a test print first and we'll dial the compensation for the real part.
Upload and quote. If you need STEP or SLDPRT conversion, email us and we'll turn it around the same day.
