These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PrintYEG(“we”, “us”, or “our”) and any orders you place through https://printyeg.com. By uploading a model, placing an order, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
PrintYEG is a small custom 3D printing service operating from Edmonton, AB, Canada. We accept files you upload, print them in the material and color you select, and ship the printed parts to you. We do not sell models, designs, or stock products — every order is built from a file you provide.
You must be at least the age of majority in your province or state to place an order. If you sign in with email, you are responsible for the security of the address you use; we treat sign-in to that address as authorization for the account.
You retain all ownership of and intellectual property rights in any files, models, designs, and related materials you upload (“Your Content”). We claim no ownership in Your Content.
By uploading a file, you grant PrintYEG a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, process, render, slice, and physically reproduce that file solely to fulfill your order. This licence ends when we delete the file under our retention policy below, except for backups and any reasonable archival copies retained for tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
You represent and warrant that you own Your Content or have all necessary rights and permissions to have it physically reproduced by us — including any third-party copyrights, trademarks, patents, design rights, model-rights, brand likenesses, or licences. You agree to indemnify and hold PrintYEG harmless from any third-party claim arising out of Your Content or our reproduction of it on your instructions.
You may not submit, and we will not knowingly print, anything that:
We may refuse, cancel, or stop any order at any time and at our sole discretion if we believe in good faith that it falls within the above categories or otherwise violates these Terms or applicable law. If we cancel for one of these reasons, we will refund any amount you have paid for the cancelled work that we have not yet started; print time already spent may be deducted.
Quotes are estimates generated automatically from the geometry, material, infill, and quality settings you select. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.
We reserve the right to revise a quote before printing begins if the automated estimate materially understates the work required (for example, if the model needs supports, repair, or settings that differ substantially from the defaults). If we need to revise, we will contact you for approval before charging any difference. If you do not approve, we will cancel the order and refund what you have paid.
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd. (“Stripe”). We do not store your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials on our servers. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Orders are charged in full at checkout; we do not offer instalment plans or invoiced billing.
Cancellation and refund handling is described in detail in our Refund & Reprint Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: you can cancel for a full refund any time before printing has begun. Once printing has begun, cancellation is at our discretion and may not be possible. If a print arrives damaged or fails to meet our published quality standard, contact us within 7 days of delivery for a free reprint or refund.
Orders ship across Canada by Canada Post or a comparable carrier at our published flat rate, unless local pickup is arranged. We are not responsible for carrier delays. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier; if a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we will work with the carrier to resolve it (typically through a carrier insurance claim plus a reprint).
Published turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees. We may pause intake during travel, equipment maintenance, or material outages. The site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upstream provider outages, or events outside our reasonable control.
Except as required by applicable consumer-protection law and except as expressly stated in these Terms or our Refund & Reprint Policy, the service and any printed parts are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that printed parts will be suitable for any particular use or environment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrintYEG's aggregate liability to you arising out of or relating to your use of the service or any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or downstream damage caused by use of a printed part. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PrintYEG and its operators from and against any claim, demand, loss, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your use of any printed part, or (c) your breach of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Edmonton, Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers or by a prominent notice on this page. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
